Dear Dr Henry
As the date for the vaccine passes comes to a close, please use your position for science instead of using it to promote current political agendas that are running rampant in our country. These ideals are contrary to both science (as you have stated that none of this is based in science) and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
We, BC residents, have followed your mandates yet they have done more damage than good. You have spoken many times about the current drug pandemic and mental health issues that are running rampant in our province. But you have done nothing about it.
You claimed that the current vaccine passes would stop the spread of Covid yet the majority in hospitals are vaccinated. You constantly share these numbers contrary to what the media presents. The vaccine passes have done nothing to prevent the spread of Covid.
Instead, it has created a medical apartheid and drove our communities apart. There is so much division, frustration and confusion. You have the power to change that if you only speak the truth. Why aren’t you?
Canadians have many reasons why they cannot get vaccinated (none of which is our business as the Privacy Act and The Charter of Rights and Freedoms clearly states) but your current mandates are contrary to it. The law is very clear; our body our choice, one that many women have fought very hard for. Are you aware that current your mandates could present precedents in court, perhaps creating issues in the future of Canadians?
Vaccines are not the issues; the issue is mandates based on politics not science. Imagine, if we are able to walk away from this “pandemic” but with no rights? What a dark future we would be leaving for our youth.
Throughout history, the use of such mandates and coercion has never created a strong stable country. Lastly, do you want to leave the legacy of “show me your papers” society, in Canada? A freedom loving country.
Here’s to critical thinking and scientific actions,
Vancitygreeks
